Kirigami is a kind of origami, except as it comes to making cuts, too! Check out Daniel Wyllie L. Rodrigues' s excellent Kirigami geometric shapes. The image above is called five areas of persistence. Each of the five areas is a cube, an octahedron and a rhombic dodecahedron in the top of the other.
The image below is a rhombic dodecahedron with a sphere inside papercraft that Daniel did as a gift to his father.
